A new adventure for us!

We are so excited to be teaming up with Chinaberry Lane to be able to offer DIY Pinterest Inspired Workshops! These are workshops where you will create items you can proudly display in your home or give as gifts. Be prepared to get your hands a little dirty and create something you never thought you could! The best part is that we will provide the tools, materials, instructions and help you every step of the way!  We did a workshop the other night with some of our favorite teachers.  we think it is safe to say that they had a blast!

Make sure you're following us on Facebook and Instagram to see our upcoming workshops!

Super Bowl Party

Happy Monday!!  We meant to get this posted before the Super Bowl, but we were having some technical difficulties, so unfortunately we are late on this post.  The Super Bowl might be over, but we think that you could use these decorating ideas for a football party or even in a little boys bedroom.

We made the SCORE sign using paper mache letters from Hobby Lobby and a piece of wood that we had in the garage. Since we were going with a more vintage theme, we painted the letters a rustic green. Then we distressed them and brushed on a few strokes of metallic bronze paint before we put them on our stained piece of wood.  The TEAM banner is made out of burlap, black card-stock, green card-stock and chalkboard letters came from the awesome girls over at Shanty-2-Chic (www.shanty-2-chic.com)

We found the old football helmet on ETSY and couldn't pass it up! We also borrowed old footballs from a friend.

How cute is the little foam finger that we found at Target?!!! We used a crate from Michaels to display our football and helmet cookies.
For the table runner we purchased turf from Home Depot. We cut the turf and then painted the lines to resemble a football field.  The goal posts are made from PVC pipe also purchased from Home Depot.

Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out our party! Make sure that you have subscribed to follow Magnolia Makings so you don't miss a thing!

Valentine's Day Brownies

Can y'all believe that January is almost over?!?! With February almost here it is time to start thinking about all those cute yummy Valentine's Day treats. We were in Michael's Craft Store the other day and saw these adorable hearts, so we had to get them! We made individual brownies and then drizzled our homemade icing over each brownie several times.  Before the icing dried, we placed the hearts on and let them dry overnight.
SWOON!!!
